ABOUT CAMPIONE CANE CORSO
A family Cane Corso breeding program in New Berlin, New York.
OUR FAMILY

Hey, I’m Adam.
Campione Cane Corso started with my family.
My work in the oilfield keeps me away from home for stretches at a time, often hundreds of miles away, while Linzy and the girls are home.
I wanted a dog that wasn’t simply going to live with us, but one with the instinct, confidence, intelligence, and presence to protect us if the need ever arose.
A firearm wasn’t exactly the answer either. Linzy has a habit of closing her eyes when she pulls the trigger, so I figured a Cane Corso was probably the safer investment.
That desire for a loyal and capable family guardian is what originally led us to the Cane Corso.

Why We Chose the Cane Corso
Then Laila changed everything.
We fell in love with the intelligence, loyalty, confidence, athleticism, and natural guardian instinct of the Cane Corso.
We came to appreciate that the Corso isn’t supposed to simply love every stranger it meets. It is a breed historically developed with purpose: devoted to its family, discerning with strangers, capable of working, and naturally protective.
WHY WE STARTED BREEDING

Campione eventually became something bigger than simply owning Cane Corsos.
One of the reasons we decided to build Campione was to give our girls an opportunity to grow up seeing what it takes to build something of their own.
We want them involved in something that teaches:
- Work ethic
- Responsibility
- Caring for animals that depend on you
- Building a business
- Handling setbacks
- Working toward long-term goals
- Dealing with people professionally
- Understanding that a reputation has to be earned
This isn’t just about selling puppies.
It is about building something as a family while hopefully teaching lessons our girls can carry into whatever they decide to pursue later in life.
PRESERVING THE CANE CORSO

The deeper we became involved with Cane Corsos, the more important the breeding side became to us.
We have watched powerful working and guardian breeds change over generations. In some cases, traits that originally defined those breeds have been softened or lost through breeding decisions focused primarily on trends, appearance, popularity, or producing a dog that is friendly with everyone.
We do not want to see that happen to the Cane Corso.
WHAT WE ARE BREEDING TOWARD
Our goal isn’t to reinvent the Cane Corso. It’s to preserve it.
Campione Cane Corso is working toward producing dogs that retain the qualities that made us fall in love with this breed:
- Stable temperament
- Confidence
- Intelligence
- Correct structure
- Health
- Athleticism
- Working ability
- Natural guardian instinct
- Correct Cane Corso breed type
We want Cane Corsos that are deeply loving and loyal with their families while remaining naturally discerning and appropriately reserved with strangers.
We want dogs capable of succeeding in different environments depending on the individual dog and placement: family guardians, show prospects, working/performance prospects, and breeding prospects. We want dogs capable of stepping into a show ring or participating in appropriate working/performance activities while still coming home and being part of the family.
We are not breeding solely for color, extreme size, trends, or whatever is easiest to sell.
Our goal is to make thoughtful breeding decisions that move Campione forward generation after generation while respecting what the Cane Corso was developed to be.
OUR PHILOSOPHY

“Champions are not born, they are bred.”
— Campione Cane Corso
